Haryana Women's Commission probes allegations of sexual harassment against Jind SP by women officers

JIND: The Haryana Commission for Women has taken cognizance of the case of serious allegations sexual harassment were made against the JV of Jinda district female police officers. The Women’s Commission has written to the DGP for an impartial review investigationwith the submission of a report to the commission within 24 hours. Besides, the SP of Jind was ordered to appear before the Women’s Commission on October 30. The commission is headed by the chairman Renu Bhatiadeclared that no criminal would go unnoticed, regardless of his rank.
It should be noted that policewomen sent a complaint to the head of government Nayab Singh Saini and several senior police officials demanding a fair investigation. In response, the Chief Minister formed a team to seriously look into the matter. Female police officers openly stated that the JV was aided by a female prosecutor and an inspector who allegedly harassed attractive female police officers in order to facilitate the JV’s actions.
Meanwhile, a fresh anonymous letter has gone viral on social media in which a female police officer said, “I would like to thank the people of the state on behalf of all the policewomen who have come forward to help us get justice. However, I want to inform you that SHO Madam and DSP Madam are putting pressure on all the affected policemen and our families. S.P. even apologized, crying, begging us to forgive him, saying, “Today I died, forgive me,” the letter said.
In addition, DSP Madam offered Rs 10 lakh each to the affected women officers to settle the case. “I must clarify that the testimony of the 19 female police officers referred to in the investigation is fabricated, and none of us are among them. The SHO even videotaped these 19 officers who have nothing to do with this case. I request Chief Minister Naib Saini Ji to transfer SHO, DSP and SP to other districts for our security. I suggest that a woman officer of the rank of IG along with a woman official from the Women’s Commission conduct an open inquiry before the media on a fixed date. We will go and tell the truth,” the letter reads.
Also, one of us has an audio recording of Madame SHO saying, “Today is your turn to please the master, so get ready quickly. Sir, we may lose our jobs or even face threats to our lives, but I assure you “If the relevant officials come to investigate, we will all come forward and give evidence,” said the police officer. We ask all the brothers to believe in us and support us so that while these three officers are present, we will never forget this kindness for the rest of our lives.
