Adele broke down in tears as she hugged Celine Dion at a Las Vegas residency

Adele just celebrated a full-circle moment with Queen of Power Ballads.

The “Easy on Me” singer is nearing the end Residence in Las Vegas — was in the middle of a show Saturday night when she spotted one of her musical heroes, Celine Dionin the crowd

in footage shot by fans emotional moment, Adele could not stop the performance of the song “When We Were Young” to go out into the hall and hug the singer with tears.

As the crowd went wild, the Grammy winners shared an emotional hug, exchanging a few words before Dion kissed the British siren’s hand and sent her on her way. Additional personnel noticed Dion wiping her eyes while Adele did the same returning to the stage, occasionally panting as he continued his performance.

Adele made sure to spread the love, urging her audience to celebrate the Canadian icon. “Give it up for Miss Celine Dion!” she exclaimed, still wiping away tears as Dion stood to applaud.

Once on stage, Adele took another moment to acknowledge Dion, who she described as “one of my favorite people of all time”. She then acknowledged the importance of meeting Dion during a performance at the Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace, the venue originally built for Dion’s 2003 debut residency.

Recalling his decision to hold his residency in the same place, Adele told the crowd“I don’t want to play in the room where Celine is was – I want to play in the room that was built for her. And it was only about this room.”

Then the singer repeated her intention take a long break after completing his residency in November, adding: “I love my life and it’s real. And I’m not saying we’re not real together today, but I have so many things I want to do.”

She added: “This room was my road or die. It’s just a complete moment for me, so it’s incredible.”

Adele’s love for Dion has been well documented. Not only her have a pack of used singer’s chewing gumbut in 2018, she visited Dion backstage at the same venue during her Power of Love residency. After that she continued to write Instagram“Queen Celine! What a show, the absolute highlight of my life. Thank you so much for your attention to your audience and crazy humor. Happy New Year, Lady X.”

In her own post, Dion wrote: “Couldn’t make it to all my shows but was thrilled Adele came to one of them…I love her so much!!”

Dion was also the star who presented Adele with her Grammy for Song of the Year for her track “Hello” in 2017.
