Kentucky woman arrested for vehicular homicide after fatal Pulaski Co. crash, police say

A Kentucky woman was arrested early Sunday on vehicular homicide and other charges after she collided with a man riding a moped, state police said.

Kaylee J. Dismuke, 19, of Eubank, is charged with vehicular homicide while intoxicated, driving under the influence, not wearing a seat belt and possession of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle.

Kentucky State Police in London were dispatched to the scene of a fatal two-vehicle crash at US 27 and East Frog Hollow Road in Pulaski County shortly after midnight Sunday.

An initial investigation indicates a gray 2014 Jeep Wrangler driven by Dismuke was northbound on US 27 when her vehicle rear-ended a black Happyrun moped traveling northbound, state police said.

Dino R. Collins, 31, of Cincinnati, was driving the moped. According to state police, Collins was ejected from the moped and taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he later died.

Dismuk is being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center, according to online jail records. She is due to appear in district court on Monday morning.
