Dozens were injured after a truck drove into a bus stop near the town of Glilot central Israel on Sunday, said Magen David Adom (MDA).

MDA doctors and paramedics provided medical assistance and sent 16 wounded to Ichilov, Blinson and Sheba hospitals in Tel Hashomer. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that four were seriously injured, four were moderately injured, and eight were in critical condition.

After the alleged terrorist attack at the Glilot intersection, United Hatzalah EMT volunteer Elia Tubul reported from the scene, “A truck and a bus were involved, as well as a large number of pedestrians. United Hatzalah medical teams are currently treating approximately 30 injured people (at this stage) with varying degrees of injuries, some of whom are still trapped under the truck.”

According to Israeli media, the police qualified the incident as a terrorist attack and added that the attacker was detained.
