2 survive a plane crash near the Chattanooga airport; FAA investigation

Authorities in the state of Tennessee said two people were “very lucky” to survive a plane crash near the Chattanooga airport on Nov. 19.

The first rescuers arrived at the scene and found one person near the plane.

Firefighters pulled out the second person.

Both victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to local media, the plane’s engine shut down and it went down half a mile from the airport’s runway.

Authorities said the pilot was able to avoid traffic at the time of the crash. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
