This week, Samsung gave us the new Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition – well, those of us who live in South Korea. It comes with a few upgrades like a 200MP main camera, but will set you back: 2,789,600 won to be exact (or roughly $2,000 USD / £1,550 / AU$3,000).

The base model already costs a pretty hefty $1,899.99 / £1,799 / AU$2,749, so fans were hoping that Samsung would instead release a cheaper Galaxy Z Fold Fan Edition (or FE) to match Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and other more affordable phones.

However, this was destroyed by Samsung itself when it announced that it “has no plans” to release a cheap Galaxy Z Fold phone, although it definitely should.

Apple Intelligence launches next week, and we can’t wait to get our hands on Apple’s AI features for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Expect iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 to launch in just a few days, along with a huge update to the AirPods Pro 2. The first wave of Apple Intelligence features will introduce the world to what Apple calls “artificial intelligence for us,” and provide writing tools, photo editing with Clean Up, notification summaries, and a redesigned Siri.

We’ve been using the iOS 18.1 beta for a few months now and can’t wait to see how the public reacts to Apple AI when it officially arrives. However, if you’re waiting for image creation tools like Genmoji and Image Playground, you’ll have to be patient – they won’t arrive until iOS 18.2 later this year. Let’s hope iOS 18.1 has enough meat on its bones to keep you busy until then.

We expected Apple to release the M4 Mac this month, and at this point, it looks like Apple is ready to do so. In the teaser, Greg Joswiak – AppleThe SVP of Marketing – All but confirmed that new Macs are coming, with a social media post saying “Mac your calendars!” as Apple has an “exciting week of announcements” on Monday.

We expect that means new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, a refreshed Mac mini, and an updated iMac, all with Apple’s M4 silicon. The image of a glowing apple shared by Joswiak reminds us of the look of Siri with Apple Intelligence, so it looks like we can also look forward to the much-anticipated iOS 18.1 and mac OS Sequoia 15.1 update with this feature coming next week as well.

Other than that, new Magic accessories (keyboard and mouse) are likely to arrive, and maybe we’ll get an update or two for other Apple TV shows. Check back next week to see everything that was announced.
