1 in the hospital after a scooter and car accident in a shopping center parking lot

One person is in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after a scooter collided with a vehicle.

It happened around 3:20pm on Saturday afternoon at 240 Midpark Way SE, which is the parking lot of the Midnapore Mall.

Calgary EMS says they took the person on the scooter to Foothills Medical Center in serious, potentially life-threatening condition.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and was not injured.

The police are investigating.
