Robinson’s 3 TDs help Hampton edge Elon

HAMPTON, Va. (AP) — Tymer Robinson threw for three touchdowns and Hampton held the lead for most of the game as the Pirates beat Elon 41-21. Elon took its first and only lead of the game when Matthew Downing completed a 70-yard touchdown pass to Onumi Dike with 90 seconds left in the third quarter. One play gave Phoenix a 21-20 lead. Hampton answered on its next drive by going 72 yards in 11 plays to take the lead back for good just over three and a half minutes later.
