Taylor Swift once said Diddy was one of her dream prom dates in a new 2011 interview: “He’s always been really nice to me.”

Taylor Swift named Sean “Diddy” Combs as one of her dream prom dates in a repeat interview in 2011, when she was just 21 years old.

A fan posted the old clip on TikTok this week, following Diddy’s downfall amid allegations of his involvement in crimes such as rape and sexual assault.

In the clip since 2011, Swift has been on Rachael Ray, where she was presented with several photos of “musical icons” and had to choose from among them to answer questions such as: “Who on this table would you most like to borrow his wardrobe?” ‘

When asked which co-stars she would take to prom, Swift chose a “bunch” of people, including Diddy, who she said has “always been really nice to me.”

During a celebrity quiz show called Quick Decision, Ray asked, “Who would you take to prom?” and Swift replied, “It would be a group, and it would be a really fun group.”

She then gathered photos of Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Sheryl Crow, Justin Timberlake and Diddy together and held them up proudly.

While Swift was choosing photos, but before she chose Diddy, Ray joked that the Teenage Dream singer was “going on a weird prom date.”

As Swift held up all the photos, Ray exclaimed, “No way! Check it out! This is a group! Why, why this impressive group of people?’

Swift responded by praising each of her chosen ones, and when she approached Diddy, she said, “Diddy has always been really good to me.”

“He’s a gentleman, isn’t he?” He’s a beautiful gentleman,” Ray said, to which Swift added, “I really — he’d have fun being in the prom.”

The video of the exchange appeared on TikTok this week and sparked a backlash, with viewers commenting that the footage had “aged badly” or “aged like milk”.

“Wow,” one TikTok user wrote, while another commented: “As millennials, we look up to these people. we didn’t know what was really going on. it’s like fearless/speak now taylor. she is 19-21 here.

“This is proof she only knew Diddy in passing,” wrote another commenter. “If she thought he was a gentleman, she was on some ‘hello, bye, f**k.'”

One suggested: ‘Diddy has always been very nice to me’ she was trying to save herself’ while another commented: ‘When we were all so naive’ with a teary emoji.

“Mom Swift would never let Taylor hang out at Diddys! I can’t even imagine. I love that she had good parental guidance growing up in the industry. #lovemommaswift,” argued a Swift fan.

Diddy was arrested last month on federal charges of racketeering, conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution.

He is awaiting trial at the infamous Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, the prison that previously held Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and R. Kelly.

Appearing on DailyMail.com’s hit podcast Diddy’s trialPrison expert Larry Levin said Diddy is visited daily by a mental health team.

“He doesn’t actually monitor suicide, but my source there tells me that someone comes to him several times a day, you know, to make sure he’s okay,” Levine said on the podcast.

“My sources tell me (Diddy) takes an extra shower a week,” he revealed. “I don’t know how much. It probably varies. They give them extra privileges.”
