Car rolls in crash in Coromandel after hitting pedestrian barrier, driver escapes through window before fleeing

Dramatic shots show a car collision with a steel pedestrian barrier and skating in Coromandeland the stunned driver fled through the window before fleeing.

CCTV footage posted to Coromandel Radio CFM’s Facebook page shows a silver car traveling north on Cooke Drive in Vitianga before hitting the barrier.

Then the car completely flips onto the roof and gets back on its wheels. The driver quickly jumps out of the window and takes off.

“After rolling, the driver can be seen running away and then returning to retrieve some items from the road and the car before heading onto Lees Rd,” the video caption said.
