The Voice UK final faced a wave of criticism from viewers on Saturday night (October 26) when viewers made the same complaint about the 2024 final.

In the final battle of the hit ITV talent show, competitors Deb Ora, Storrie, Ava, Billie and Louie battled it out for the title, each aiming for the top prize and big cash prize.

Legendary music figures and The Voice mentors, Sir Tom Jones, Will. i. morning, and LeAnn Rimes, along with McFly’s Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, took their iconic seats for the last time this season in anticipation of their protégé’s victory.

In the end, McFly’s dynamic duo, Tom and Danny, featured as their contestant, Ava, wowed judges and viewers alike, securing her triumph as the winner of The Voice UK 2024, reports Mirror.

With her win, Ava not only won the prestigious trophy, but also received a lucrative record deal with Universal, a cool £50,000 and an exotic holiday at Universal’s Orlando resort.

Ava’s name now joins an illustrious list of previous champions such as Leanne Mitchell, Molly Hocking and Kevin Simm. Although Ava deserved to win, viewers at home expressed their displeasure with The Voice’s revamped format, which saw the general vote scrapped in favor of giving the in-studio audience a sole vote.

Disgruntled fans immediately took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their frustration. A disgruntled viewer commented: “Despite this *** format without a public vote, the right person won! Well done Ava #TheVoiceUK.”

Another expressed disappointment: “@hlt_ja Well I would have voted for Ava but unfortunately the audience can’t vote for the winner so it’s #TheVoiceUK.”

A viewer had his say on the voting process: “I think #TheVoiceUK should be voted on by the public, not the viewers.”

A call to action was also made: “@ITV please can we bring the final back live giving the public a chance to vote for @thevoiceuk #thevoiceuk”.

Elsewhere, viewers expressed their delight at the show’s winner. A delighted fan commented: “It’s finally decided that the right person will win #TheVoiceUK.”

Comments continued to spread the joy, with one saying: “So happy Ava won @thevoiceuk. Bless her and congratulations.” Others congratulated the new mentors on their coaching success: “@TomFletcher and Danny on their first ever win as coaches!

Maybe I’ll be on your team next year haha #TheVoiceUK””. Becky Hill stands out as the most famous product of The Voice UK. At the age of 30, she joined Jessie J’s team and reached the semi-finals.

Since then, the acclaimed talent has performed alongside several world-renowned DJs including David Guetta, MK, Oliver Heldens, Joel Corry and Wilkinson.

The Voice is available to watch on ITV Hub.
