The 39-year-old man pleaded not guilty in the case of drug dealing

RACIN. The 39-year-old Racine man pleaded not guilty to more than two dozen drug-trafficking and bail charges during a Nov. 13 hearing at the Racine County Courthouse.

Kevin Hatley faces a wide range of charges, including multiple counts of manufacturing/supplying between one and five grams of cocaine; repeated facts of production/delivery of fentanyl in the amount of less than 10 grams; the fact of maintaining a place of sale of drugs; and 14 felony bail jumping counts.

The most severe penalties are provided for possession of cocaine or fentanyl for the purpose of childbirth. Each count carries a fine of up to $100,000, up to 25 years in prison, or both.

Hatley is scheduled to appear for a status conference on February 10.

Accusation

According to previous reports, the confidential informant met with Hatley at various locations near Racine on Aug. 22, Aug. 30 and Sept. 9 and reportedly purchased about 6.7 grams of substances that tested positive for fentanyl and cocaine.
