Hannah’s aunt says she was sent “weird cryptic messages” about the matrix from her niece before she disappeared more than a week ago.

The traveler was on a cross-country trip from her home on Maui to New York City November 8, but never completed the last leg of her journey.

Her family and close friends have since revealed that she sent several disturbing text messages in the hours before she was last seen or heard from.

On November 10, Hannah sent a creepy message to a friend: “I was tricked into giving all my money to a person I thought I loved.”

Another message reportedly referred to a “spiritual awakening” and included an apology for being mean.

Hannah’s worried aunt, Larry Pigeon, says one of the last messages she received was from missing people the woman was talking about the “matrix”.

Pigeon told KTLA that Hannah sent her “weird, cryptic messages — things about the Matrix.”

“It was so unlike her and then all of a sudden there was no communication,” she added.

The aunt has since traveled to Los Angeles with other family members to complete her own search for Hannah.

Her distraught dad Ryan also flew to Los Angeles after revealing he feared his daughter was in danger following a series of creepy messages.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Department has already listed Hannah as a high priority.

They are looking for more CCTV to determine her last known whereabouts.

Larry said, “LAPDX was helpful. They were trying to find CCTV footage.”

Hannah has been seen twice in separate videos since she was last heard from last weekend.

One sighting showed her at the Los Angeles airport, where she was supposed to make a stop before boarding a plane to New York.

Her family says she never set foot on a connecting flight.

The video was released by police and airport authorities to help them investigation.

Other footage was then found showing Hannah walking around Los Angeles hours after her plane took off.

Internet sleuths found a clip of a Maui woman in a Nike ad on YouTube as she wandered through the popular shopping center The Grove.

Hannah’s family quickly contacted the videographer, who discovered the footage had been taken at around 3.40pm on Sunday.

The family say they are determined to find out where Hannah is and believe she is still in Los Angeles.

Dad Ryan told the locals news that he had been feeling a lot of anxiety and confusion in recent days.

He told HawaiiNewsNow, “It’s just a a blur I think it’s because I haven’t slept well since I heard the news, and I really don’t know… it’s just really disturbing.’

Despite the location, Hannah has not been seen or heard from since the text messages on Monday, when her phone was switched off.

Oddly enough, it last pinged at the Los Angeles airport, despite The Grove being an hour away from LAX.

Mr. Kobayashi says Hanna rarely loses touch with her family, even when she travels.

The Maui native loves to travel and has reportedly visited both Europe and Asia in the past.

The father also tried to speak directly to his daughter through a local news channel in a desperate attempt to find out where she was.

He said, “Many people are looking for you, Hannah. So if you find out, if you see something, just go to the police, go to anyone.

“There are a lot of people who care about you and love you, Hannah.

“If you can just get to somebody, whatever you can do…just let us know you’re okay.”
