Glastonbury already in the bad books with some festival-goers after they made up their minds entirely reconstruct the ticketing system for next year, seeing the implementation of the dreaded online queue (for all who tried to get Tickets for Oasisif you know, you know) so it’s no surprise that fans are complaining en masse about the changes this morning.

How has the Glastonbury ticketing system changed?

In years past, Glastonbury fans had to maniacally refresh their web browser as the clock struck 9am to get through the holding page.

But not anymore.

This year, the fans got the order Glastonbury Check out the tickets page open and ready to go, and the website randomly assigns everyone a place in a virtual queue. The only rule is that under no circumstances should you refresh the page while you are in the queue.

You can imagine this is a little strange for fans who are used to frantically hitting the update button over and over again.

Glastonbury hopefuls are making their feelings very clear this morning about being in the virtual queue for tickets, and if the mood online anything, it will be a very difficult day for many.

“Don’t give me a bar system and then start going up in increments,” wrote one user on Xalongside a screenshot of their place in the queue, with a second recipient adding: “This Glastonbury queue is killing me man I haven’t moved a lane.”

“Anyone see anything but 2 green bars?” asked a third person.

Meanwhile, others commented on how hard it was not to hit the ‘refresh’ button, with one person joking: “This new style of ticketing is torture when you’ve spent years on it.”

“It’s brave of them to call themselves SeeTickets when I haven’t seen a single ticket,” added another.

We ask for a moment of silence for everyone who spends all Sunday counting the green bars on the laptop screen.
