Another police complaint against RTI activist who took Siddaramaiah to court in MUDA scam

Karnataka Congress spokesperson M Lakshmana filed a police complaint against Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) petitioner Snehamai Krishna, urging the police to apply the Gunda Act against him and also seeking his deportation.

Lakshmana, in his complaint to the Lakshmipuram police station in Mysore, alleged that Snehamayi Krishna was a hooligan and had 17 criminal cases against him in 10 years.

He also alleged that no action was taken by the police even though Snehamayi Krishna was blackmailing prominent personalities.

“Due to his threats, one woman committed suicide and two strangers who claimed to be related to him demanded a large ransom in connection with a case involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah,” he alleged.

Lakshmana had earlier filed a complaint against Snehamaya Krishna for defaming Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the police had registered an FIR against him.

Meanwhile, Snehamayi Krishna filed a counter-complaint with the Mysore Police Commissioner on Saturday, November 16, seeking legal action against Congress leader Lakshmana for making false allegations and filing false complaints.

He said that after his complaint in the MUDA case, Siddaramaiah indirectly confessed to his crime and returned 14 sites worth over Rs 60 crore.

“Siddaramaiah returned the sites not because I am a bully but because of my legal battle. The court drew attention to the fact that I am a public activist, and also noted that police officers file false cases with hatred,” he said.

Reacting to the development on Saturday, state BJP president BI Vijayendra slammed it for exposing his and his family’s corruption.

“Siddaramaiah is allegedly resorting to intimidation tactics of social activist Snehamaya Krishna, who is fighting in court. According to him, by recruiting his followers to file false complaints, he is trying to silence the activist.

Snehamayi Krishna is also accused of harassing a woman in connection with a property dispute. He denies the accusations, calling it an “attempt” to suppress his anti-corruption activities.
