Medway: Family appeal for help to find missing boy

His family thanked everyone involved in the search, both professionals and volunteers.

“We can’t express how grateful we are to all of you,” they said.

James is believed to have been wearing brown tracksuit bottoms, a gray zip-up hooded top, a white shirt with a light brown and blue check pattern, black socks and black trainers.

Kent Medway Police Chief Constable Harry Cook said the search was focused on surrounding rural and wooded areas popular with dog walkers and horse riders.

He asked anyone who uses the area to keep an eye out for anything that can help.

He added: “Regardless of the time that has passed, we hope to reunite James with his family and we have a large number of specialist searchers and partner agencies committed to finding him.”

In a statement, James’ family said: “Please, we can ask you all to check your DVRs, doorbells and CCTV for any recordings of James.

“James, if you get this message, please come home. Everyone misses you and we love you so much. You’re fine. We love you so much.”
