MUDA official faces investigation for forging documents and foreign travel

Mysuru: Officers and staff of the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA), who were earlier involved in the illegal approval of land under various schemes, are now facing fresh trouble with another staff member under scrutiny.

Nandish, a Second Divisional Assistant (SDA) in MUDA, is facing serious charges of traveling abroad without prior government permission and involvement in a forgery case using forged signatures.

MK Yashwanthkumar, a resident of 7th Main, 2nd Cross, H Block, Ramakrishnanagar in Mysuru, filed a written complaint with the Department of Urban Development and Directorate of Town and Country Planning, Bengaluru, accusing Nandish of being involved in earlier cases of forging signatures on bank challans and traveling abroad without prior permission of the Government.

After hearing the complaint, officials of the Authority and the Urban Development Department wrote to the MUDA Commissioner, directing that all aspects of the allegations leveled by Yashwantkumar be thoroughly investigated as per the service rules.

They directed to submit a detailed report within 15 days, including a clear opinion and recommendations for action against Nandish if found guilty.

Status of the Kingpin case

In a related case, B. K. Kumar, who worked for both MUDA and Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) simultaneously, drawing salary from both agencies, was exposed as the mastermind behind the illegal land acquisition scandal, which agreed 50:50 plots. correlation.

As a result, MCC Commissioner Ashaad-Ur-Rehman Sharif dismissed him from service and directed Ashwin Kumar, Assistant Executive Engineer, Vani Vilas Water Works, to file a criminal case against him.

Following these instructions, Ashwin Kumar lodged a complaint with the police station V.V. Purama which is under the jurisdiction of Vani Vilas Water Works.

However, since the matter is related to service rules, Inspector Vivekananda said that before the formal registration of the complaint, a legal opinion will be sought to determine which agency (MUDA or MCC) should take action on BK Kumar’s services.
