Nayanthara calls Dhanush despicable, claims personal rivalry in long letter on upcoming documentary

Tamil superstar Nayanthara has written an open letter to actor-producer Dhanush, alleging that his personal rivalry against her and husband Vignesh Sivan has affected her upcoming wedding documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale. The actor said on Instagram that Dhanush is demanding Rs 10 crore as compensation for using “three seconds” of behind-the-scenes footage from Dhanush’s Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in the documentary trailer. Nayanthara said the videos are already available on social media and the footage used in the documentary was shot on personal cameras.

She also alleged that Dhanush kept rejecting their requests to use some songs, visuals and even photographs from the film despite repeated requests. “The vendetta you are harboring against the film, my partner and I, affects not only us, but also the people who have given their efforts and time to this project.
