What is Connections?

Connections is one of the most popular daily puzzle games published by the New York Times (owned by Wordle). The goal of Connections is to group the 16 words of the day into four groups, where each group of four words has a common theme.

For example, the words “Huck,” “Nana,” “Peter,” and “Wendy” are all characters in Peter Pan. Or to take another example: “Action”, “Ballpark”, “Go” and “Stick” are all words that usually come immediately before the word “Figure”.

Your job is to figure out what the themes are that unite the different words, but be careful because there are often red herring connections deliberately placed here to confuse you! To win the game, you must find all four connections without making 4 mistakes. After your fourth mistake, the game ends and the answer opens automatically.

Each of the four groups in the Connections daily puzzle also has a different color that shows how easy or difficult it is to find a Connection. These colors are yellow (the easiest), green (easy), blue (medium), and purple (the hardest).
