A tragic romance ended in murder: a jealous lover strangled a woman Noida news

Noida: A 36-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly strangling his girlfriend after she refused to leave her husband and children for him.
Shilpa’s husband Ajay Tiwari filed a complaint at the Sector 63 police station on Thursday, alleging that his wife was allegedly killed by her husband Pradeep, with whom she had an affair illegal business.
The petitioner alleged that Pradeep pressured Shilpa to leave her family and move in with him. When she refused, Pradeep allegedly threatened to harm Tiwari and their two children.
Cops said Pradeep visited Shilpi on November 13 when Tiwari was at work and killed her after an argument.
Shilpa’s children were at home but asleep in another room when the woman was strangled to death.
DCP Shakti Mohan Awasthi said Pradeep was arrested near Gadhi Gol Chakkar Service Road on Friday and Shilpi’s mobile phone was seized from him.
A case was registered under Sections 103 (murder) and 351(2) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita following Tiwari’s complaint, Deputy Commissioner of Police Awasthi said.
