Police say Troy’s BAC was nearly 4 times the legal limit

TROY, Mich. (FOX 2)Troy police arrested a man last week who they say was found passed out and passed out behind the wheel with a blood alcohol content nearly four times the legal limit.

Police were called to Buscemi in Rochester Road at around 9pm on Friday November 8 to see if a man had fallen behind the wheel in a car park.

Police said the 2020 Toyota RAV4 was parked with the engine running and the driver asleep at the wheel. When the police woke up the 41-year-old man, they immediately noticed the smell of alcohol coming from his car.

Troy police administered several field sobriety tests, which officers said he performed poorly.

During a search of his car, police said they found a partial bottle of bourbon in the front passenger seat.

The man was issued a ticket for driving with a BAC of more than 0.17% – the definition of super drunk in the state of Michigan.
