The most shocking scene in Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 2 has a surprising cameo

The latest episode of Cobra Kai Season 6, Part 2 features a dream sequence with a surprising cameo from the classic Karate character.

We are approaching the final Cobra Kaithere are several sharp questions to which the series must find an answerfeaturing characters past and present, and a Karate Kid movie in the future

Season 6 part 2 focuses on the Sekai Taikai tournament in Barcelona, where members of Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do battle fighters from around the world.

But the series also revolves around Daniel investigates a mystery from the distant pastwhich inspires the strangest scene of the season.

We go over the details of the final episode of Season 6, Part 2 below, so watch out SPOILERS ahead…

Mr. Miyagi in Cobra Kai Season 6 Episode 2?

Yes Mr. Miyagi in Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2 – a young version of the character appears in a dream where he fights Daniel LaRusso at the Sekai Taika tournament.

At the end of Season 6, Episode 9, Terry Silver gave Daniel documents that indicated that his former mentor once killed someone during a tournament, and this information is clearly playing on LaRusso’s mind through this nightmare.

The scene takes place at the beginning of episode 10, and the footage is distressed and film-like, hinting at the past.

On a blank screen, an announcer says in Japanese, “Now is the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Sekai Taikai Final Match!” He calls for the “fighters to the mat” and we suddenly see a young Nariyoshi Miyagi as the crowd chants his name.

The Karate Kid

Daniel and Mr. Miyagi in happier times.

Daniel enters the fray and clearly can’t believe he’s coming face to face with his beloved mentor as the crowd chants, “Kill him, Miyagi-san!”

Daniel says: “Mr. Miyagi? What is it?” But his opponent says nothing and just watches. They fight and Miyagi is too fast for LaRusso, winning the point right away.

“Mr. Miyagi, what are you doing?” asks Danielle, “It’s me!” But Miyagi is silent again, preferring to fight. LaRusso defends this time, but Miyagi still takes him down with a leg kick.

“If it’s a lesson, I’m not going to get it,” Danielle says, recalling her wax, wax days (see video below). At this point, Miyagi makes fun of him. Daniel delivers a powerful blow and says, “Enough. Just talk to me. You didn’t tell me that much. I just need to understand why.”

“This has always been your problem, Daniel-san,” comes the reply. “Such a desire to understand, but does not want to accept.” Miyagi then screams and charges hard at his charge, throwing him to the ground, punching him repeatedly, and then preparing for the fatal blow.

He then turns into an older version of the character we know from the Karate Kid movies and says, “Miyagi never tells you everything, Daniel-san, because you were never strong enough to accept the truth.” He screams again and punches Daniel in the face, which suddenly wakes LaRusso from his sleep, thereby ending the dream.

It’s a jarring sequence that comes out of nowhere, but the scene is also a good representation of the anxiety Danielle feels about her former friend, whose potentially deadly actions challenge everything LaRusso believes.

But as a superfan of the original films, I preferred the actor playing the young Miyagi to what appears to be a computerized version of the old Miyagi at the end of the sequence. Which just looks weird.
