Houston police are investigating a crash near I-10

HOUSTON – Houston The police department is investigating the death of a man in a road rage incident involving officers early Saturday morning.

Around 8:30 a.m., officers observed a distracted driver on westbound I-10 near Lockwood and approached the vehicle. One man, disobeying the officers’ instructions, got out of the car and ran along the embankment onto the freeway.

Police officers chased a man who was trying to cross the freeway. According to police, the car failed to stop and hit the man.

The police pronounced the man dead on the spot.

The information is preliminary, as the investigation by the State Security Service is currently ongoing. Anyone with possible information is asked to call the HPD Traffic Crimes Unit at 713-247-4072.
