PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s homicide unit is looking for three suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy Saturday night in the city’s Fairmount neighborhood.

The incident happened at approximately 8:38 pm in the 1200 block of Fairmount Avenue. Police discovered the Dodge Nitro had been stolen about 30 days before the incident. After the shooting, the suspects left the vehicle near the intersection of 16th and Thompson Streets, where a dark-colored Ford Taurus was waiting for them.

Authorities are now seeking information on any group or individuals known to have used the silver Dodge Nitro in the weeks before the shooting, as well as any connection to the dark Ford Taurus seen at the scene. The homicide unit is actively working to identify the three suspects shown in surveillance video released by police.

No one has been arrested and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
