The father pleaded guilty to causing the death of his pregnant daughter

A New Lebanon man has pleaded guilty to charges related to causing the death of his pregnant daughter last year in Preble County.

Stephen Means, 63, entered into a plea deal earlier this month and pleaded guilty to two counts of reckless homicide, according to Preble County court documents.

As part of his plea deal, seven drug-related charges were dismissed.

The charges relate to the death of his daughter, 30-year-old Kimberly Means.

As News Center 7 reported earlierKimberly was found dead in her apartment on S. Barron St. in Eaton in July 2023 after police responded to a report of a possible drug overdose.

Stephen is accused of supplying Kimberly with the drugs that killed her and her unborn child.

He faces up to 36 months in prison and a $10,000 fine for each count of negligent homicide, to which he pleaded guilty. He should be sentenced next month.
