Chicago Bears at Washington Commanders predictions

Two teams headed in the right direction meet at Northwest Stadium on Sunday night when the Washington Commanders host the Chicago Bears.

The Bears last played in Week 6 when they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 35-16 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Quarterback Caleb Williams caught four touchdown passes and continues to improve each week in his rookie campaign.

Chicago has been able to rest and recover from last week’s bye, and they enter the game on a three-game winning streak.

The Commanders crushed the Carolina Panthers 40-7 last weekend at home to make it five of six, and did so without rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels.

He suffered a rib injury in the first few minutes, allowing backup Marcus Mariota to come on and lead them to a routine victory.

Unfortunately, NFL fans may miss out on the first and second picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, but Chiefs fans won’t care if they can get one more win.

Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury had the Commanders playing fantasy football, but his team faced a Bears defense that allowed the fifth fewest passing yards per attempt in the NFL.

Defensively, Dan Quinn’s side look strong, holding three of their last four opponents to 14 points or less. Chicago has won three straight, but their opponents are 5-15 overall during that streak. Williams will be under huge pressure on the road against a winning team, and the Commanders could go on and even win this game if Daniels proves his fitness.

The San Francisco 49ers find themselves in an unfamiliar position in fourth place in the NFC West as they prepare to host the Dallas Cowboys this weekend.

The schedule makers weren’t kind to the 49ers, forcing them to play the Chiefs and Cowboys after a bye week.

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is 12-5 overall and 3-1 against the spread as the Cowboys coach after the bye, and the 49ers are coming off a 28-18 loss to the Chiefs at home.
