Tragedy: Search for missing man who disappeared suddenly a month ago, last seen on CCTV, body found – The Irish Sun

BODY found in search of missing Leeds United fan.

Michael Johnston, 32, went missing shortly after 9am on Thursday, October 17.

He was last seen near the River Aire and Aire & Calder Navigation in Thwaite Lane, Stourton, wearing a black Leeds United jacket and black shorts.

Around 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, a body was tragically found.

The discovery was made in a forest, near a footpath, near the River Aire.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “Officers searching for missing Leeds man Michael Johnston have found a body believed to be his.

“At around 2.50pm yesterday, officers involved in the ongoing search for Mr Johnston found him in a wooded area on a footpath by the River Aire near Skelton Grange Road, Stourton.

“Although no formal identification has yet taken place, it is believed to be Mr Johnston, aged 32, who went missing on 17 October. His family has been informed.”
