A 15-year-old boy was shot at a bus stop, the man was charged

MILWAUKEEAn 18-year-old Milwaukee man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday, October 28th. A 15-year-old boy died in the shooting.

Prosecutors charged Christian Martin with one count of first-degree murder with a dangerous weapon. According to court documents, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

According to the criminal complaint, around 11 a.m. that day, a Milwaukee police officer was in the area of ​​S. Caesar Chavez Drive and W. Greenfield Avenue on routine patrol when he noticed a large crowd.

When the officer approached the scene, he saw a man on the ground who had been shot in the head, according to the complaint. The victim was taken to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. The victim, identified as a 15-year-old boy, was pronounced dead on October 31.

According to the prosecutor’s office, a man approached the police at the scene and said that he was with the victim before the shooting. The witness states that he went to the victim’s house in front of the school that day and when he arrived the victim was with a woman he knew (Witness 2). Subsequently, the three of them left the victim’s house and walked to the bus stop.

After leaving the victim’s house, the witness claims he saw a man standing on the corner and witness 2 said things like “what is he doing here?” The three continued walking, and as they did so, a man, later identified as Christian Martin, approached their group and followed behind.

The witness states that Witness 2 began arguing with Martin while the witness and the victim were walking ahead.

Once they got to the bus stop, the witness says he went to his aunt’s house a block away to check the bus schedule and then returned to the bus stop. Approaching the stop again, the witness heard a shot and saw the victim fall to the ground.

The witness told police he didn’t see where Martin or Witness 2 went, he just ran up to the victim to check on him and saw him bleeding from the head. The witness claims he then ran back to his aunt’s house to tell her what had happened before returning to the scene before police arrived.

During the scene review, a woman, identified as Witness 2, came to the Milwaukee Police Department #2 to report that she had witnessed the shooting. She provided the following information — she claims that she went to the victim’s apartment that morning before classes. While they were waiting, another male appeared. Then the three of them decided to take the bus to school.

According to the complaint, as they were leaving the victim’s home, Witness 2 claims she saw a familiar man standing on the corner. She identified the subject as Christian Martin. She noted that she had known Martin since July and they dated for a short time but broke up. Despite the breakup, they kept in touch with each other. Witness 2 stated that Martin texted her back on October 27th.

According to the complaint, Witness 2 further explained that after seeing Martin, her group continued walking and Martin joined their group, walking behind and muttering to himself continuously.

She told police she heard Martin mumbling the victim’s name. As they were walking, Witness 2 started talking to Martin about how they couldn’t be together. At one point, Martin grabbed her and punched her in the side, she said, before continuing to walk with the group. When she arrived at the bus stop, she claims Martin was standing there a few feet away from her. She noted that suddenly, while she and the victim were looking at the street, she heard a shot.

Witness 2 said she didn’t know what to do, so she ran west to a gas station and eventually to a friend’s house to contact her mother. Martin also fled the scene, according to the complaint. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
