The man pleaded guilty to committing an accident that caused bodily harm

A man accused of causing serious bodily injury has pleaded guilty.

Juan Gallardo reportedly pleaded guilty to aggravated assault while intoxicated.

Gallardo was taken to the hospital, where he allegedly admitted to drinking heavily before the crash and reportedly refused to cooperate, threatening to kill himself and hospital staff.

A blood test showed a BAC level that would have been .279 at the time of the crash, as well as THC in his blood.

His sentencing is scheduled for December 12.
