Three Women’s Betty Gilpin Reveals Graphic Candy Sex Scene In Episode Seven’s ‘It Wasn’t AI’

Lina Betty Gilpin isn’t afraid to get creative in the bedroom — or in this case, the car.

In the 7th episode Three womenStarz’s adaptation of Lisa Taddeo’s best-selling non-fiction book, Lina becomes cunning during her romance with her former high school sweetheart Aidan (played by NCIS: Origins Austin Stowell). The pair meet in a parking lot, and things quickly become dynamic in Lina’s four-door sedan, where viewers experience an intimacy rarely seen on television.

“I used to do a lot of sex scenes,” Gilpin tells TVLine. “And I think I’ve always had a kind of practical, kind of shrugging realism about them… And my job as a woman in them is to lie, basically, and look as porno as possible, small and young and shiny.” .

Gilpin explains the routine process of the sex scene as an effort to “help cover up my pimples, lighten me up and cover me up so I look like the music video version of myself.”

in Three womenhowever, Gilpin’s experience was different. “It was Yes the opposite of this. (Three women it’s) about female desire, so obviously the sex scenes—they weren’t even feeling it—they were feeling themselves real scenes and some of the most important scenes in the show.”

Gilpin continues to call three womenapproach to intimacy, “beautiful”, “exploratory” and “interesting”.

While we love this fresh take on female desire, it’s hard to watch Episode 7 — the moment Lina opens a caramel chocolate bar and massages its contents onto Aidan’s cock — and not wonder: Um… how? The camera zooms in on the act, carefully tracking Lina’s hand movements in a way that is startling but not entirely unfamiliar. It’s like how a camera can pan and linger on certain parts of a scantily clad woman — but we’ve never seen a male gaze so directly inward… and so long. What are the mechanics of such a scene? Could it be AI?

“No, it wasn’t AI. No way! F–k AI,” Gilpin says.
