Devon Woodland session to help veterans cope with stress

Devon Woodland session to help veterans cope with stress

Veterans from north Devon have been invited to take part in an event which aims to help them with their mental health.

The Root Cause Project, a social enterprise founded by ex-servicemen, will hold a free session at Hakeford Woods near Barnstaple at 10am BST.

Founder Roy Goddin said the session would provide a safe space for ex-servicemen to share their experiences with like-minded people and learn how to cope with stress.

“We combined our mental health knowledge, survival skills and military experience with the healing power of nature,” he said.
