Each day, Wordle presents you with six rows of five boxes, and you’ll need to guess which five-letter word is hidden among them to win the daily puzzle.

Start with a strong word like LIVING—or any other word with a good combination of regular consonants and a few vowels. You should also avoid starting words with repeated letters so that you don’t lose the chance to confirm or delete an extra letter. After you enter a guess and press Enter, you’ll see which letters you guessed correctly and which ones you got wrong. If the box returns , it means that this letter is not in the secret word at all. means that the letter is in the word, but not in this position. means you have the right letter in the right place.

Your second guess should complement the first by using another “good” word to cover any common letters you may have missed in the first line—just be sure to avoid any letter you know for sure isn’t in today’s answer. After that, you simply use what you’ve learned to narrow down your guesses to the correct word. You have a total of six attempts and you can only use real words, and don’t forget that letters can also be repeated (eg: BOOKS).
