A Spring Valley man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a minor

Spring Valley, New York. Luis Kinac-Morales, 41, of Spring Valley, New York, pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual misconduct. That motion was filed Wednesday before Judge Ann B. Bianchi in Rockland County Court.

Since 2016, Kinac-Morales has been involved in repeatedly sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Spring Valley. Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II confirmed the allegations, stressing that the abuse included intercourse.

District Attorney Walsh expressed his willingness to protect children with the help of resources and cooperation with law enforcement agencies at various levels. The Spring Valley Police Department and the Special Investigations and Special Investigations units of the Rockland County Prosecutor’s Office were involved in the investigation.

Kinac-Morales pleaded guilty before a jury trial. He faces nine years in state prison with 20 years of post-release supervision and mandatory sex offender registration. The announcement of the sentence is scheduled for January 14, 2025.
