A Dayton man has pleaded guilty to creating child sexual abuse material

October 23. A Dayton man accused of possessing a cell phone that contained “a lot of child sexual abuse material” has pleaded guilty to 10 felonies.

Stone Gibson, 28, pleaded guilty Wednesday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court to 10 counts of indecency with a minor. As part of his plea agreement, 10 counts of unlawful use of a minor in material or performance targeting nudity were dismissed, court records show.

A person who found the bag in an alley on Aug. 2 notified the Dayton Police Department, which took possession of the property, Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office spokesman Greg Flannagan said.

“One of the items was a mobile phone belonging to the defendant which had a lot of child sexual abuse material on it,” he said.

Gibson will also be designated a Tier II sex offender, which prevents him from living within 1,000 feet of a school, preschool or daycare center. He must also register his address with the local sheriff’s office every six months for 25 years.
