Big names have been announced to headline as the popular forest concert series returns to Cannock Chase Forest

Forest Live, Forestry England summer concert of the series, presented in association with Cuffe & Taylor, has announced that iconic Manchester indie rock band James are the latest headliners for the series of concerts on Saturday 28th June.

With over 25 million albums sold over a long career, James are one of the most commercially and artistically successful alternative rock bands of their era and have celebrated their 40th anniversarythousand anniversary last year.

Earlier this year, the band also debuted in the UK with their eighteenth studio album, Yummy.

As well as cuts from the acclaimed new record, fans can look forward to classic James songs such as ‘Come Home’, ‘Sit Down’, ‘Sometimes’, ‘She’s A Star’, ‘Born Of Frustration’ and ‘Laid Among The Trees’ as the band plays through their back catalog of anthems.

On June 28, James will also be joined by indie rock heavyweights Razorlight and “folk poet” Jamie Webster.

Razorlight were at the forefront of the indie rock revival of the 2000s with a string of hits such as ‘America’, ‘Wire To Wire’ and ‘In The Morning’. Success led the band to three five albums and nine platinum certifications. and an NME award.

Indie singer-songwriter Jamie Webster has built a movement around his craft of distilling struggle, finding hope, and breaking bonds. He has previously worked with Manic Street Preachers producer Dave Ehringa and had a UK top 10 hit as well as a number one in the UK Official Folk Chart.

James joins a selection of world-renowned acts as confirmed headliners for the Forest Live 2025 series, including Sting, The Script, Blossoms, Snow Patrol, Rag’n’Bone Man and Elbow, with past shows at Cannock Chase see performances by Madness, Paul Weller, Texas, Olly Murs and Sam Ryder.

This year, Forestry England is presenting a series of concerts in partnership with Live Nation’s Cuffe & Taylor for the second year in a row.
