Motorcyclist dies in crash with van in Larbert, police appeal for witnesses

A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a van in Falkirk as police appeal for more witnesses.

Officers were called to Bellsdyke Road at the junction with Kincardine Road in Larbert at around 11.50am on Thursday to reports of a collision.

The 67-year-old driver died at the scene, and the driver of the van was not injured.

The road was closed for about six hours while law enforcement officers investigated.

Investigations are ongoing to establish all the circumstances, law enforcement officers are calling for witnesses.

Traffic Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick said: “My thoughts go out to the family and friends of the deceased man. We will continue to offer them support during our investigations.

“We have already spoken to a number of witnesses but I would like to appeal to anyone who saw what happened or has information that could assist our enquiries.

“Also, if you have Bellsdyke Road dashcam footage from around 11.50am yesterday, please look at it and let us know anything important.”
