A man in his 30s who had been drinking and driving was arrested last night for speeding after he ran into a post office and caused a crash.

A drunk-driving accident occurred near Pangyo Interchange, and a man in his 60s died in an apartment fire in Jeongip, Jeollabuk-do.

Around 4:30 a.m. today in Dokchin-dong, Jeonju-si, Jeollabuk-do, a man in his 30s was drunk driving, climbed onto the sidewalk and ran to the post office.

At the time of the accident, the level of alcohol in A.’s blood was at the level of license cancellation, but, fortunately, no one was injured.

Mr. A was arrested for disorderly conduct, such as kicking a door or breaking a patrol car window, at the patrol division where he had moved to conduct an investigation.

At around 6:50 pm yesterday, five cars collided one after the other near the Manjong Intersection towards Jecheon on the Junggang Expressway.

The driver and four passengers were taken to the hospital with major and minor injuries.

A fire broke out at around 3:20 a.m. today in a 15-story apartment building in Sanpyeong-dong, Jeonggyup-si, Jeollabuk-do.

The fire was extinguished in 30 minutes, but a man in his 60s who lived on the third floor was found dead in the living room.

The police and firefighters are determining the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
