Venum unveils faith-inspired custom shorts for Jon Jones at UFC 309

Jon Jones got what he wanted at UFC 309: a rescheduled title defense against Stipe Miocic, plus his own pair of custom shorts fit for the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Just over a week after his Superfight with Miocic, images of Jones’ custom shorts have surfaced on the site Venum Online Store and fans are loving the new look of “Bones” which could be his last fight in the Octagon as he has hinted in the past.

On the right side of the shorts, Philippians 4:13 is written in gold, a Bible verse that Jon Jones has tattooed on his shoulder and chest. The Holy Scriptures say: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

A Christian cross is under Jones’ name and the shorts feature two roaring lions on either side in red and more in back in black.

Jones may not be the UFC’s most model champion with a long criminal past and failed drug tests, but the 37-year-old is still a man of faith, praising the name of Jesus as his Lord and Savior in his latest UFC post-fight interview 285.

Jon Jones fought in these colors for most of his career as light heavyweight champion, leaving them behind each time the UFC struck a deal with Reebok in 2015 only to have something similar nearly a decade later with Venum, the UFC’s new apparel partner . .

“UFC made it,” one fan said of Jones’ new custom shorts.

We’ll see if the other half of the main event, the legendary Stipe Miocic, gets his hands on the custom shorts.
