Blount County crews are responding to a popular fire at Walland RV Park

WALLAND, Tenn. (WVLT) – Crews responded to a fire at Whispering River Resort Thursday night.

According to Blount Co. Fire Chief. Doug McClanahan, the call came in around 6:16.

One of the vaults was heavily damaged, and the other was also exterior.

As of 9:00 p.m., the fire has been extinguished, crews are clearing the scene.

One engine, four tankers and three support trucks were on site. McClanahan said they had to haul water about a mile away.

No casualties have been reported.

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office was investigating the cause.
