Late Micah Miller’s husband John-Paul Miller arrested for assault days after FBI raid on his home

John-Paul Miller was arrested for the attack days after the FBI searched his home, In touch can confirm A South Carolina pastor has been surrounded by controversy since his wife, Micah Miller, took her own life in April.

South Carolina authorities arrested 45-year-old John-Paul in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Wednesday, November 6. In touch confirmed through Myrtle Beach Police Department online records. He was charged with third-degree assault and battery.

Law enforcement officers reportedly responded to his church earlier Wednesday in reference to a “possible assault,” according to an affidavit obtained by People. During the “protest” at the church, the alleged victim approached John-Paul and said, “Here, Kitty, Kitty,” the arrest warrant states. However, the document does not specify what the protest is about.

Police alleged that John-Paul “got in (the victim’s) face” and recorded her before tapping her cap and leaving, according to the affidavit.

Authorities obtained video from the scene, but it did not show the alleged attack, according to the warrant.

John-Paul was arrested at his home hours after the incident and has since been released on bail, the pastor’s lawyer, Russell Longtold People. The lawyer also shared with the publication a video of the woman running towards John Paul, while the person recording the footage screams: “Kichko! Cat! Run, run, run!”

John-Paul then stopped and approached the woman in front of the car. He held up his phone to record her, though it’s unclear if it’s the video described in the arrest warrant.

A woman could be heard yelling, “Don’t touch me!” It is unclear whether John-Paul touched the woman.

It has been claimed for a long time People that the women who abused John-Paul were “just harassing him and trying to force him.” The lawyer argued that his client did not attack the alleged victim, although a witness told police that John-Paul punched the person twice.

Long called John-Paul’s arrest “outrageous.”

“Enough. The city of Myrtle Beach failed this guy and his churchgoers, they allowed these people to kill this church and they are allowing these people to persecute and persecute John-Paul Miller,” he said. the arrest gives them even more purpose, doesn’t it? They’re not going to stop.”

The pastor’s arrest comes days after Long confirmed on Nov. 1 that the FBI had raided John Paul’s home on Coldwater Circle in Myrtle Beach. However, when asked what they were looking for, the lawyer replied that they were “fishing”.

“No affidavits were attached to the search warrant; therefore, I don’t know what it is connected with,” added the lawyer, trans Mail and courier.

John-Paul was at the center of protests and media attention after Mika’s death. A 30-year-old resident of South Carolina died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on April 27. Her death was ruled a suicide after surveillance cameras showed her buying a gun at a pawn shop and audio of a 911 call showed her telling the dispatcher she planned to kill.

John-Paul, who was going through a divorce from Micah, was out of state at the time of her death. However, conspiracy theories about his involvement quickly took off after Mika said days before her death that she was “fearing for her life”. The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office denied rumors of foul play in a press release in May.

“This incident has garnered a lot of attention from across the Carolinas and beyond. I want to assure everyone that our Criminal Investigations Team and Task Force conducted a very methodical investigation.” Sheriff Bernice Wilkins said “Unfortunately, rumors and conspiracy theories quickly spread, speculations were made. However, at the end of the day, we have to make decisions based on facts and evidence.”

The statement continued: “While I know this is not what many people wanted to hear, the evidence is quite clear and compelling and we are as saddened as anyone that this has happened. There are many factors that we have looked at and that have been at work over a long period of time that are likely related to the cause of this investigation, but ultimately, unfortunately, Micah made a tragic decision that ended her life.”
