A drunk driver caused an accident in Evansville, police said

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Evansville police say a man was three times over the legal limit for alcohol when he was pulled over.

Officers say they were called to a crash at Buena Vista and Stringtown Road Thursday afternoon.

Police say they found an open case of beer and 15 open cans in one of the cars.

Officers say the driver of that vehicle, 61-year-old Lawrence Macaluso, failed field sobriety tests and registered a .244 on a breathalyzer.
