Boston Celtics fans can now watch their team’s 18th championship banner from an entirely new perspective.

The Celtics on Friday shared video of a drone flying through the TD Garden entrance and into the arena as the 2023-24 banner was raised to the rafters before Tuesday’s season opener against the New York Knicks.

The Celtics are the first NBA team to win 18 titles, surpassing the Los Angeles Lakers’ 17 championships for the most in league history.

Boston won most of those titles between 1957 and 1986, earning another title in 2008 before adding its final championship in 2024.

To celebrate winning the title in 2024, the Celtics handed out championship rings to players before raising the flag at TD Garden.

The Celtics continued their celebration by tying an NBA record with 29 three-pointers in a 132-109 road win over the Knicks. Three main players from the champions’ roster were victorious: Jayson Tatum had 37 points, Derrick White had 24 points and Jaylen Brown had 23 points.

Boston will now travel to Detroit for the team’s first road game of the season. Game 2 of the 2024-25 season ends on Friday at 7:30 PM ET, with Cade Cunningham and the Pistons 0-1 favorites to win.
