CCTV footage has surfaced showing the last moment Deku was seen alive.

Citizen TV released clear footage of Deka shopping at Quickmart A supermarket in Nairobi’s central business district on October 29.

After shopping, the woman went to a short-term apartment in Lavington, where she was again caught on CCTV entering the said premises.

According to detectives, the woman spent the night with Dagane in the apartment before he killed her.

CCTV footage shows Dagane leaving the apartment on October 31 with two black bags, which police suspect contained Deka’s remains, which were later dumped at the Lang’ata cemetery.

Footage from the apartment where the woman was killed is consistent with the DCI’s claim that it was painted over to hide evidence.

“It was also confirmed that after Dagane left the flat, the owner discovered what had happened in his flat, went ahead and cleaned up the mess, ordered the rooms to be repainted,” the DCI said.
