Mumbai: Mumbai Police on Thursday confirmed that Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan had received a threat call. A criminal proceeding was registered in the Bandriv police station under Part 4 of Article 308, Part 3, Part 4 of Art.

A Mumbai police team reportedly traced the call in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Mumbai Police teams have gone to Chhattisgarh and investigations are on.

Earlier on November 5, the Mumbai police received a threat message against actor Salman Khan, allegedly from Lawrence Bishnoi’s group, the police said. The threatening message gave the actor two options: apologize or pay Rs 5 million to stay alive.

Mumbai Police Dispatch received a threatening message on behalf of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi via WhatsApp saying that if Salman Khan wanted to stay alive.

“He should go to our temple and apologize or give Rs 5 million. If he does not do this, we will kill him, our gang is still active,” says the message, which was issued in the name of Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother.

The police said the report was received on Monday and an investigation was launched. This is the second death threat Salman Khan has received in a week. In an earlier death threat, which was also received by the Mumbai Traffic Police, a ransom of Rs 2 crore was demanded from the actor.

Earlier on October 24, the Mumbai Police arrested a man from Jamshedpur who had threatened Bollywood actor Salman Khan on behalf of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore. According to the Mumbai Police, it registered a case against an unidentified person and started an investigation after the Mumbai Traffic Police received a threat report.
