The long-awaited series Citadel: Honey Rabbit was released today, November 7. The Amazon Prime Video series stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu and is an Indian spin-off of Priyanka Chopra’s international series Citadel. While critics praised the show, fans are impressed with Varun and Samantha’s chemistry in the show. Social media users shared a video from one of the first episodes where Varun and Samantha shared a steamy kiss.

Citadel: Honey Bunny is set in the 1990s. It is a spy series developed by the Russo brothers, but developed and directed by Raj and Dee Kay. In the series, Varun plays a stuntman named Bunny who enlists struggling actress Honey (Samantha) for an extra performance as they are thrown into a high-stakes world of action, espionage and betrayal. Packed with even more adrenaline-pumping action and explosive drama, the new trailer tells the story of how estranged elite spies reunite years later to protect their young daughter, Nadia, when their dangerous pasts catch up with them.

News18 Showsha rated the series 3.5 in its review and said, “Varun Dhawan as Bunny shines in his gritty moments and his scenes with child actor Kashvi Majmundar, who plays young Nadiya brilliantly, are some of the most touching in the series. His acting also takes center stage during the show’s climax, and he commands your undivided attention.”
