The New Dawn Rumor reveals details of a new game from the developer of Silent Hill 2

The Bloober team recently came off their heels Silent Hill 2 remakebut their next game is already over. Kronos: A New Dawn is a survival-horror game that invites players to go back in time and traverse an apocalyptic landscape to transport the victims of the past to a brighter future.

Game Steam page gives a brief overview of the specifics. Our protagonist is equipped with a tool called the Reaper and is responsible for dealing directly with the creepy things.

“You are a Traveler acting as an agent of the mysterious Collective, tasked with traversing the wastelands of the future in search of specific time rifts that will transport you back to Poland in the 1980s,” reads the description. “Your mission is to find key people from the past who died in the next apocalypse. Using your almighty Reaper, you can mine their essences to accompany you into the future.”

Not much is known about the game, but one rumor has gained a lot of traction, and if it’s to be believed, players are in for a suitably punishing experience.

“The game is quite challenging, especially during combat and exploration,” said an insider ignusthewise placed “Main Loop – Future Exploration: Find Time Anomalies to Return to the Past (.) Past Exploration: Dive into the Past to Search for ‘Souls’ (.) 17 Core Locations (.)”

This is all consistent with Team Bloober own description of game mechanics. “The action takes place in a gloomy world where Eastern European brutalism meets retro-futuristic technologies, Kronos: A New Dawn allows you to experience a fascinating story that distinguishes between the past and the future.”

The listing goes on to say that the game is set “in a desolate world filled with constant danger” and that the name of the game is ingenuity.

“Your survival depends on your ability to strategize and plan ahead. The enemies you will face are monstrous creatures born from the remains of humanity. You will need to use your arsenal to the fullest to defeat them. In combat, quick decisions can mean the difference between life and death.”

Describing the combat as “difficult” doesn’t come as much of a shock. Kronos“The official trailer for the show gave us a look at some truly terrifying creatures, and if they’re as bad to fight as they are to look at, they’ll be fighting alongside other threats of the same genre, such as Dead space wild necromorphs.

All in all, there are still questions about the game that need to be answered, but this might be our best look at new details for a while since a release date has yet to be set. Silent Hill 2 has also been extremely successful, so it’s impossible to say whether supporting this game will hinder development progress.

However, we know Kronos: A New Dawn will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S when it launches in the future. So, if getting scared out of your pants sounds like a good time, you’ll want to keep up with updates on it.
