Multiple people, including juveniles, arrested on gun charges in Skowhegan

SKOWHEGAN. The U.S. Marshals Service arrested several people, including juveniles, on weapons charges Thursday and Friday, officials said.

Marshals arrested at least three people in two incidents Thursday night and Friday morning on warrants, “primarily for firearms and weapons-related offenses,” according to Deputy Superintendent U.S. Marshal Ryan Guay.

At least one arrest was made Thursday night in Madison and several more at a Skowhegan gas station Friday morning. Some of those arrested are minors, Guay said.

“A number of people were detained and there were many people identified with arrest warrants,” Guay said. “We have had several people arrested on charges of violent crimes, including weapons possession. We cannot say more about it at this time.”

Guay said more information would be released Friday night, but the names and ages of the juveniles arrested would not be released because of the nature of the alleged crimes and the age of the suspects.
