A man and 5 children were injured in an explosion in Bagley, Minnesota

BAGLEY, Minn. (Valley News Live) – A man and five children were injured in an explosion near Bagley, Minn.

The Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office responded around 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, to a warehouse north of the city on 370th Street.

Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found a man and five children aged 6 to 14 who were involved in the explosion, and all of them received burns.

According to preliminary data, the propane cylinder leaked inside the metal storage. The explosion occurred after the man lit a cigarette.

Passers-by were able to help the burned people before rescuers arrived. Ambulances from the surrounding area were called for mutual aid and all 6 victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment of burns.

The Minnesota State Fire Department was called to the scene to investigate. The condition of all those involved is currently unknown.
