Mike Tyson has opened up about a rare habit he considers a ‘disease’ as he revealed his usual training routine ahead of his fight with Jake Paul.

Speaking on the Pound 4 Pound podcast with Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo, the boxing legend detailed his morning workout routine as he prepares for his long-awaited comeback. According to Tyson, once he starts working, he can’t stop himself from training, even when it’s time to recover.

“Usually after a workout, the body needs two days to recover. I’m the kind of guy when I’m recovering, I don’t know, I can do 6,000 reps on the rower. It’s just a disease in me. It’s just a disease,” Tyson admitted.

“I get up in the morning, do road work, four miles on the treadmill. Four or five miles, I can’t do it outside, people fuck me. Yes, I do the treadmill. After that, I row about 3,000 strokes, then I come back and do another 3,000, and the next morning I do another 3,000. That’s 7,000 strokes in a day and a half,” he added.

Tyson got rid of it at the age of 58
