PS5 Pro gets enhanced versions of 2 Microsoft games at launch

PS5 Pro release with just a few days left, more than 50 games will take advantage of the new and improved hardware at launch. Among them are two incredibly popular games from the “competitor” PlayStation Xbox Game Studios.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Diablo IV will receive enhanced versions for PS5 Pro on the console’s launch day

A recent post on the PlayStation Blog has revealed the full list of enhanced PS5 Pro games coming on the console’s launch day. The expected PS5 hits are present, including Spider-Man 2, God of War Ragnarok and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. A little more surprising, but still expected, is the inclusion of two Activision Blizzard titles.

PS5 Pro players will be able to enjoy Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Diablo VI on the console, which will be launched on November 7, 2024. Details on how these games will use the new hardware have yet to be revealed.

This is the first time we’ve heard of an enhanced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update for PS5 Pro. How the console will improve the visuals remains a mystery. However, it’s safe to assume that ray tracing won’t be available just yet, as it’s currently missing on PC. What you should expect is the use of the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) console to increase the accuracy of the graphics while maintaining a solid 60 frames per second.

Enhanced version of PS5 Pro Diablo VI franchise general manager Rod Ferguson confirmed earlier last month. He didn’t have much to say about the update, but said details would come “later.”

PS5 Pro enhancements aren’t exclusive to PlayStation Studios games. Several third-party games will have extended console support at launch. This includes hits like Fortnite, NBA 2K25 and Hogwarts Legacy.
